Pan-Seared Steak With Herbes De Provence

Recipe inspired by Pierre Lana

Ingredients:

  • 2 New York strip steaks, 6  8 oz eac
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • herbes de provence
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • Sea salt

Directions:

  1. Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed skillet with medium heat. Meanwhile, generously sprinkle the steaks with the Herbes de Provence, pepper and a little salt. When the butter begins to brown slightly, turn up the heat to medium-high and place the steaks in the skillet. 
  2. Turn after 2 - 3 minutes and brown on the other side. Cook an additional 2 - 3 minutes, or until done to taste. 
  3. Place on serving plates and finish with additional sea salt to tast.
