Recipe inspired by Pierre Lana
Ingredients:
- 2 New York strip steaks, 6 8 oz eac
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- herbes de provence
- freshly ground black pepper
- Sea salt
Directions:
- Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed skillet with medium heat. Meanwhile, generously sprinkle the steaks with the Herbes de Provence, pepper and a little salt. When the butter begins to brown slightly, turn up the heat to medium-high and place the steaks in the skillet.
- Turn after 2 - 3 minutes and brown on the other side. Cook an additional 2 - 3 minutes, or until done to taste.
- Place on serving plates and finish with additional sea salt to tast.
