Oven Baked Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c dried breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/4 c vegetable shortening or butter, melted

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 425°F.
  2. Combine flour, breadcrumbs, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper in a bowl. Mix with a wire whisk.  
  3. Dip chicken drumsticks into shortening / butter; roll in flour mixture to coat. Arrange in an ungreased or foil-lined baking pan.
  4. Bake, uncovered, until done, about 50 minutes. Yields: 6 drumsticks.
