Grilled Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 Apples, Cored and peeled
  • Lemon
  • Pie Dough
  • 1 T Butter
  • 1 T Flour
  • 1 C Sugar
  • Salt
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg

Directions

  1. Mix together sugar, flour and salt in med bowl.  Stir to combine. Pour mixture over apples in large bowl.  Stir to coat apples fully.  Add juice from half the lemon (about 2 t) and mix again.
  2. Spoon apples into the pie crust in pie pan.  Sprink with nutmeg and cinnamon.  Add chunks of butter on top of apples. 
  3. Cover pie with second crust, pinch edges to seal.  Lightly score top with sharp knive.  Sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Place on grill with indirect heat.  425 degrees for ~45.  Rotate pie at 25 mins.
