French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 cup half-and-half or milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons honey or 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices bread 
  • Butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In square baking pan, whisk together the milk, eggs, honey, and salt.
  3. Dip bread into mixture, allow to soak for 30 seconds per each side. Let rest on a rack in a rimmed baking pan for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Over medium heat, melt butter on giddle. Cook until golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Return slices to rack bake oven for 5 minutes.

Serve immediately with maple syrup, whipped cream or fruit.
