Ingredients
- 1 cup half-and-half or milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons honey or 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 slices bread
- Butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In square baking pan, whisk together the milk, eggs, honey, and salt.
- Dip bread into mixture, allow to soak for 30 seconds per each side. Let rest on a rack in a rimmed baking pan for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Over medium heat, melt butter on giddle. Cook until golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
- Return slices to rack bake oven for 5 minutes.
Serve immediately with maple syrup, whipped cream or fruit.
